Blanks for gears are made in the material chosen by the Customer.
The heat treatment is chosen according to agreed specifications, targeting the most appropriate machinability performance.
Forging with a 6000-ton press, GHH-Valdunes can suplly gear blanks with an excellent grain flow and a high degree of finishing. The power of the 6000-ton press also allows a good approximation of the final dimensions, resulting in a reduction of machining costs.
The diameter varies from 350 to 1500 mm with a weight which can exceed 3 tons.
The blanks are supplied unwrought or rough-machined on a lathe.
